Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.  

International Health Certificate: Dr. Brenda S. Taddeo is a USDA accredited veterinarian and can issue an international health certificate. Once the certificate is released, please make sure the certificate is endorsed by a federal veterinarian by visiting Richmond office before departure.

Surgical Services, Veterinary Surgery: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of affordable veterinary surgical procedures.  

Dr. Taddeo offers a wide range of surgeries that include but not limited to;  spay, neuter, mass removals, cystotomies, foreign body surgery, declaw or dewclaw removal,  and  prophylactic gastropexy for our high risk dogs ( Great Danes, Irish Wolfhounds, Great Pyrenees, Bernese Mountain dogs, and any other deep chested dog) which prevents a condition called GASTRIC DILATATION/VOLVULUS SYNDROME IN DOGS (GDV).

Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.  Our State of the art Vital monitor includes Heart rate, Respiratory rate, Co2, Temperature, Blood pressure,  and EKG monitor.   We have a technician and Doctor with every patient under anesthesia.

Internal medicine consults: We offer referrals to an internal medicine specialist who performs ultrasounds, endoscopic procedures and helps us with the diagnosis of more complicated cases.

Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.

Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.

Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.

Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry.  We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Permanent identification: We offer microchip identification.

Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry prescription diets.

Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Boarding: We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.

Bathing: Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.

Emergency Care: During business hours our doctors can provide your pet with emergency services.   Dr. Taddeo has worked for three years in emergency medicine and can handle a wide range of emergencies.   If your pet is having an emergency after hours please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies.
